COMPUTER-AIDED SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPY GROUP
(for Stroke Suvivors with Aphasia)

This computer-aided speech-language therapy group session usually meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.  It is facilitated by Janet M. Gritz, M.A., CCC-SLP.

These 90-minute group sessions are intended to help individuals who have stroke-related speech and language challenges such as aphasia, dysarthria, or apraxia.  Activities usually include traditional group discussion and conversation during the first half-hour, followed by demonstrations (with group participation) of "special needs" software during the second half-hour, and ending in hands-on practice using some of the computer software during the final half-hour. 

Fee:  A contribution to the MCSA of $15 per person is requested, but not required.  Lesser or greater donations are gratefully accepted to help defray our costs,  in accordance with each participant's ability to pay.
