"CONVER-PUTER CLUB"

for Stroke Survivors Who Have Aphasia)

The "CONVER-PUTER CLUB" is a computer-aided speech-language therapy group for stroke survivors with aphasia or dysarthria who want to improve their communication skills.  The first part of the session will feature conversational activities aimed at improving functional communication skills in a friendly, small-group setting. The second part will present computer software, first in an interactive demonstration mode, and then with "hands-on" computer practice (as time permits).

The group facilitator is Janet M. Gritz, M.A., CCC-SLP.  Janet is an ASHA-certified and Maryland-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who has 40 years of experience working with stroke survivors with aphasia.  She is familiar with many computer software programs designed to improve communication skills.

Fee:  A voluntary contribution of $15 per person per 90-minute session is requested but not required.

Pre-registration is required.  Please RSVP at least 3 days before each session that you plan to attend.  Only those who RSVP  will be called if the session has to be canceled or rescheduled.
