ACHILLES TRACK CLUB OF GREATER WASHINGTON
Phone: 301-279-2727 - Alan Roth Services: The Achilles Track Club is offered in cooperation with the Montgomery County Department of Recreation. It provides track and long distance training for novice and experienced physically-disabled athletes of all ages. Coaching is available along with volunteer support. Meets on Tuesdays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Gaithersburg High School. Makes available to disabled individuals the benefits of aerobic exercise and overall fitness that running affords. Show up between 10 A.M. and 3 P.M. at the Sandy Point State Park Marina (Severna Park, MD) at Route 50 and the western end of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for a short sail on the pond or bay (weather permitting). You may leave your wheelchair, walker, crutches, or scooters on the dock by the sailboat to be picked up when you return, slide across the plank into the cockpit, and off you go.
