is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 1981 in Montgomery County, Maryland, to provide help and hope to stroke survivors and their family caregivers.
The dual mission of the Montgomery County Stroke Association Stroke is the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S. Stroke is the leading cause of adult disability in the U.S. Approximately 800,000 strokes will occur in the U.S. this year. Approximately 80% of all strokes are preventable.
