GENERAL MEETINGS: The Silver Spring Chapter meets at the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center (1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring, MD) on 2nd Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. A peer stroke support and discussion group meets from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., followed by a stroke education program from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Light refreshments are usually served.

GENERAL MEETINGS: Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday evening of each month at the Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland (9909 Medical Center Drive, Rockville, MD) unless otherwise noted. Sign-in time starts at 6:45 p.m. From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., a Family / Caregiver Support Group meets to discuss issues related to stroke. A stroke education program follows from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. Light refreshments are provided by Safeway. NOTE: The hospital parking lot charges a fee.

- "STROKE FOLKS": Members of the Upper County Chapter who are also members of the Gaithersburg Upcounty Senior Center (80-A Bureau Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20878) are invited to participate in the "Stroke Folks" meetings sponsored by that facility. GENERAL MEETINGS: Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday afternoon of each month from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Club House II (Room 2) at Leisure World of Maryland (3300 N. Leisure World Blvd., Silver Spring, MD 20906). Join our stroke support group from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and our stroke education program from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments and socialize with our friendly stroke survivors and caregivers.

BETHESDA CHAPTER

GENERAL MEETINGS: The Bethesda Chapter meets on the first Tuesday of each month at Suburban Hospital (8600 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD 20814) unless otherwise noted. Sign-in time is 6:45 p.m. Peer support groups for stroke survivors and for family caregivers meet separately from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. From 8:00 to 9:00 p.m., welcoming remarks, announcements, and the featured program are presented. Programs usually feature speakers on a stroke-related or wellness topic. Peer discussions and holiday parties are also featured from time to time
Parking is free, but you must take a ticket when you enter the parking lot. When you leave, the gate will be up and you will not have to pay.
Program details will be published in our monthly Communique' newsletter, which is posted on our website, as well as on the website's home page and "Calendar" section.
