Members of the MCSA were invited to take a free pontoon boat ride on the Anacostia River. Over a dozen MCSA members enjoyed a cool but relaxing boat ride and learned about the history and wildlife of the river from narration provided by a Park & Planning naturalist and guide.

Location: Bladensburg Waterfront Park, 4601 Annapolis Road, Bladensburg, MD. The park is owned by the Park and Planning Commission. (You may call 301-779-0381 for directions or information about the park.)

We met at 10:15 in the morning. The ride began shortly after 10:30 a.m. and lasted about an hour. There was no charge for this pontoon boat ride.

About 15 MCSA members went to lunch at the Calvert House Inn (at their own expense) after the pontoon ride. The Calvert House Inn is located at 6211 Baltimore Avenue, in Riverdale, MD. The restaurant's phone number is 301-864-5220.
